Staves cutting out

Staves cutting out

During play back I have some staves cutting out completely, and some specific notes in other staves not playing. This is happening on a louder part of the music. Never had this problem before. Staves that are not playing at all are not muted.

Sound card problems? Any ideas?

It's not my headphones because the computer plays it back the same way.

G'day unecosanostra,
if you have a Creative card try the latest drivers from their website. I had what sounded like the same problem and the driver update fixed it. (My card is from the Audigy range)

Another test you might try, if you have WinXP or one of the (I think) DirectX updates then you should have an MS softsynth. Try it and see if you still get the cutouts.
