Slurs

I just installed Version 2.5.4. I have found if I enter a note with a slur, the slur does not turn off for the following notes. This is different from previous versions in which I had to turn on the slur for each note. Is this a bug in 2.5.4 or is there a way to make the program work similar to previous versions?

Thanks. I knew the slur was different from previous versions, but I hadn't used the Persistent Tools since the new version was introduced.
