Firstb note tie recipient?

Is there any way to make the first note of a song the recipient of a tie? I'm starting a song on a second page and the previous measure ended in a tied note. I tried hiding a tied note, but the tie also becomes hidden.

Perhaps this, for example.
Code: (nwc) [Select · Download]
!NoteWorthyComposerClip(2.5,Single)
|Clef|Type:Bass
|Key|Signature:F#,C#|Tonic:D
|Spacer|Width:0
|Note|Dur:Whole,Grace|Pos:0z^|Opts:Stem=Down
|Spacer|Width:150
|Note|Dur:4th|Pos:0
!NoteWorthyComposerClip-End

Thanks Rick,
This is a brilliant solution to the printing problem.
(Could be used in similar manner for a continuation slur).

Thanks Rick.
That was a great idea.  However it took me quite some time to understand how you did it.
But when I did, it hit me as a simple but brilliant workaround.

I'm sure I'm misunderstanding something, but two suggestions.

Rick's method yields a beautiful inbound tie to the new page, but it seems to me the program already carries the tie over from one system (in this case the preceding page) to the new one.  If you need to flatten it (NWC curved lines aren't yet what they need to be), then increase note spacing of the destination note.  However I think Rick's idea of the spacer is better than note spacing.

When you need an invisible note, just enter a note and set its properties to stem length = zero, notehead = blank, and muted (if desired).  The need for this workaround has been reduced since NWC2 came around, but it's handy to keep in your "back pocket."

Hi David,
fathafluff said that he was starting the file from the second page.  One assumes the first page is in a different file and so the tie cannot just follow on...
