drum partitions 1998-11-09 05:00 am hi,I just want to know how can I use the percussion instrumentsby writing the notes. In program there is a drum sample, but I couldn't understand which way have been used to write these drum partitions. I have selected some drum alternatives fromthe 'instrument patch' menu, but these are not the soundsI want to hear. Can anyone help me? Quote Selected
Re: drum partitions Reply #1 – 1998-11-09 05:00 am For a complete drum explanation/tools, look at http://noteworthy.beyondtheweb.com/helpful.html and download the drumkit.zip file. It contains patches, explanations for "standard" drum notation.Hope this helps Quote Selected
Re: drum partitions Reply #2 – 1998-11-09 05:00 am Ho, forgot : maybe this is what you need: usually drums are played on channel 10 or 16. If you already have percussion sounds, this is already done. Otherwise check that the channel is properly set (use [F2], select Midi tab, and check Channel listbox value).HTH Quote Selected
Re: drum partitions Reply #4 – 1998-11-09 05:00 am There is also a sample file called "drumref.nwc" in the NWC distribution. This file shows the General MIDI drum note mappings which usually are supported on MIDI Channel 10. Quote Selected
