Odd beaming

Try to beam the first 4 1/8 in this bar:

Of course I expected something like (omitting the upper voice):

The result is quite funny instead.

N.B. I know that the preferred way to handle multiple voices is through layering, but anyway...

RestChords cannot be beamed. NWC has said that a file layout change would be required. IMO, it would be a worthwhile change the next time NWC requires a file layout change.

If you can tolerate the playback, this works:

Either I missed it or my memory is to blame. Thank you Rick.

Anyway, layering works fine, even if it's annoying to add a staff for just a single bar.
