How to make a drum line?

Okay, I'm having some troubles.  I imported a MIDI file into Noteworthy (v1.75c) and it had a nice drum line on it (Staff #11).  I tried to duplicate it in my own midi file, making certain all the staff settings were exactly like those in the original, and mine doesn't sound like drums.  Okay, I'm missing something, but how did the author of the original MIDI make staff #11 sound like drums?  And how do I do the same with my own drum line?

Original MIDI file, by Don Carroll, that has drum sounds from staff #11:

NWC: http://gpomusicsamples.homestead.com/files/what-child-is-this-carroll.nwc

My very simple attempt where staff #5 (measure 18) does NOT sound like drums:

I am obviously missing something... BUT WHAT?????

Okay, nevermind, I just discovered the answer and it plays fine.  Setting the midi channel to 10 worked.
