Change the stick side of a note

I don't know the correct word, so I'll use the word "stick".
Standard the side of stick is left of a note, I know how I can change the stick up or downstairs a note, but not left or right for a note.

Anyone know this?

ps sorry for the weak English, but I'm Dutch...

The stem of any single note will be on the left side of any "stem down" notes, and the right side of any "stem up" notes. This cannot be changed.
