Copy-to-file bug?

When I copy a file to the clipboard (from print preview) in either the 16 or 32 bit version of NWC, I am unable to use that image. Photoshop crashes with an invalid page fault when I switch to it after the copy action. I have to clear the clipboard by copying something from another app before Photoshop will start again without the error. With Windows95's paint program, I can switch over okay, but when I try to paste the image, the program stops responding.

Under the 16bit version, if I save the image to a file, I can open it in either program; however, the score doesn't always look right. For example, using this method with the Mozart sample results in the clef and key signature information being "fragmented" and superimposed over each other. The 32 bit version doesn't give me the option of saving to a file.

If it matters, I'm running a P133 with 48 meg of RAM.

Other than the above problem, I like what I've seen so far from NWC...

The clipboard and file data saved with the copy command is legitimate. However, not all programs handle the data very well. For bitmaps, I very much recommend reducing the page size (with margins) to reduce the size of the bitmap. For metafiles, this is not a real issue, but still may help some of your programs.

For the clipboard stuff, you can use the clipboard viewer to see that it is legitimate. For the meta files (.wmf), you can use QuickView in Windows 95 too see that it is legitimate.

I hope this helps.
