Hold down shift when you enter the second, third, fourth etc notes.

Jussi is right, but your cursor has to be placed just after the note you're adding to. More detailed info is in the help menu (F1 and Index, look up "chord") under Chord Member Command.

Oops, yes. It's <Control>. Been doing it so long now, I'd forgotten which keys I actually press.

To delete a note from a chord (you'll need this, especially if you make lots of mistakes in the beginning, like I did), is <control><backspace>. Again, your cursor must be just to the right of the chord.
