set percussion patterns

I have no percussion background. Although I've learned
how to creat a score for drums and the like using channel 10 etc,.
it would be great if Noteworthy provided set percussion
patterns (i.e. more rhythm samples) that I can just choose
and copy for my specific composition. Much like the percussion
patterns one can choose from in a midi keyboard player like
roland, technics and yamaha.

Would you have these available? Would you also have matching
drumroll patterns?

The rhythm patterns included in the Template folder are the only ones included in the base NWC package. There may be others available around the net, but the templates are there to get you started.

If there are such rhythm patterns available in the net,
can these be converted into nwc files? Would you know of
any sites that may have such patterns? Thanks.

If I write some, I'll put them on the newsgroup.
Maybe some of the others (some of the other Aussies are into band music with drumkits) have some patterns they are happy to share.

There are plenty of percussion midi files out on the web. Find one you like and import it into NWC, then do a cut-and-paste to get it into your composition.

Another suggestion would be to find a midi version of a song with the rhythm pattern you want to use, import it, highlight the track 10 staff, and cut-and-paste the part you want.

I don't remember where I got it, but I have a collection of over 200 rhythm patterns in midi format. If anyone wants, I can zip them and put them on the newsgroup.

It's great!
We've now got some very good "references".
The annotated drum list, a drum part converter, pitch ranges for a variety of "standard" instruments.

Any other NWC benefactors out there? :)

PS: What we need now is an ftp site where all these can be made available (what about it Eric?, Adam?, Richard?, Barry?...)

If you have Band-in-a-Box, or know someone who does, you can also get good drum lines from it's output. Also bass lines, piano harmonies, strings, etc. I've found that BIAB MIDI files import very well into NWC.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make Flams, six
tuplets, double rolls, buzzes, and figering on Ntworthy?
I have 1.5 and I am registered. I want to write snare parts,
but I can't write snare parts without these signs.
Does anyone know of A drum Composer that does all these
signs plus more? If you do PLEASE email me. Thanks.
