Newbie- How do you add a note?

Hello

I just downloaded the trial NWC version, and I was wondering, how do you add the notes. Every time I tried it gave me a high B. I wanted to add a low C. Please help.... Thanks.

Notes are added at the insertion point (unless you are using a MIDI keyboard, in which case notes are added at the pitch you press on the keyboard). You can move the insertion point with the computer arrow keys, or by clicking a new location with the mouse.
