Blue Bar and Zoom Function in NWC 1.50 Beta !!!

1.) Isn't that blue bar - marking the actual staff - disturbing, is it?
Why isn't there any option to inactivate this bar??????

2.) With the exception of small arrangements (Jingle Bells i.e.)
the zoom function is very unsuitable to overview
a conductor's score. It is either to small or to big.
(configurable zoom steps would be better)

For step-zooming look under view/zoom

But this steps don't solve the problem, because the view
is either to small or too big, try it, if you have a conductor's
score (about 20 staffs and more)!

Manni,

"that blue bar - marking the actual staff" can be removed
by selecting Options from the Tool menu, click on the
Editor tab and de-select the "Active Staff Frame" option.

Perhaps it's the color of the "bar - marking the active staff" that you don't like, Manni. Use the Editor to change it. Click on Tools/Options/Editor. The Editor Tab will only work if a song file is loaded. Good Luck!

I agree with Manni. Even setting the zoom step to 2
results in a reduction in the on-screen size from slightly
too big to microscopically small. In previous versions it
was possible to increase or decrease the size in small steps
until one achieved the best setting for the job in hand. Is
there a way to do this in the latest release?

Erm ... unless I've misunderstood somewhere, sounds like
you're looking for the 'set zoom' function. This is
accessible from one of the menus (guess who's writing from
work and doesn't have NoteWorthy in front of him) and by
the keyboard shortcut Alt+ =

I still wish the preferred zoom factor could be set as a user
preference isntead of score by score, though.

With respect Niels, I think you have misunderstood. I am aware
of the ways in which one can set the zoom rate but even at
the lowest setting (2) the screen goes from four staves
per screen to twelve staves! Four is just a little too big
for most purposes and twelve is far too small to read them.
That is what we are getting at. Perhaps there is some other
way of correcting that and I would be obliged to you for
pointing it out to us.
