Saving Format

Hi: I am trying to figure out how I would be able to post a composition to the web and haven't figured it out. Is there a way to save a file as a GIF or JPEG? Does anyone know any way to get a composition onto the web? Here are a couple of examples of what I would like to do.

Use the COPY function in Print Preview to create a Windows Metafile (.wmf). You can then open the WMF in a viewer such as the freeware program Irfanview, manipulate it in various ways, and finally save it as a gif. (jpg not recommended for line drawings, gif or png will give better results in a smaller filesize).

Fred's suggestions works well for relatively short pieces without a lot of notation crowding. For example, the music and lyrics to a short song could use that method. But if the music is complex, then (due to the low resolution of computer screens) a graphic image (GIF) would be too hard to read.

For something complicated, or for beautiful printouts, make a PDF file of your composition. That requires additional software, but the software (Ghostscript, etc.) is freely available. Its installation and usage is too detailed to discuss here.
