deletion of fermata

I am completing an original compostion, and in the final measure I have misplaced a fermata, with the "preserve width" checkbox left on.

I have been unable to delete this fermata with my present knowledge of how to use the software (NWC 1.30e) I have attempted to delete the fermata itself, notes before it and after it, tried to mark the measure and delete, and the notes will delete, but not the fermata. It remains no matter what.

Please see my e-mail reply of earlier today. Your fermata is actually located in the second staff, although it displays in the third staff because it was inserted so far under the second staff. Removing it is a simply matter of deleting it out of the end of the second staff.
