importing/recording chords

I've noticed some problems importing or recording files having chords with notes of different length.
For example if I export and then inport one of the sample songs
having this kind of chords (this implies that the song has two or more
voices on the same staff) I can't get the same song!
How can I solve this problem?

NWC only supports the import of one voice per track of a MIDI file. You can set split points to import multiple staves like left and right hand in a grand staff that appear in a single track. However, you cannot extract arbitrary notes that are a part of multiple voices.
