how do i use the multi point controller?
like what can it do to enhance a score's playback?

Multipoint controllers can be used to stepwise or gradually change any of a broad range of midi controllers, including but not limited to pan, volume, expression, reverb, chorus depth, and even things like tempo which aren't strictly speaking midi controllers.

My suggestion is to download the "NWC Command Summary" from the NWC Scriptorium, this has a fairly extensive "learn as you do" tutorial section on the use of mpc's.
