Percussion already

I have used noteworthy for quite a while now And it has never had percussion clef capabilities. I inquired noteworthy and was informed that that feture would become available with the next release. This was 3 releases ago. I'm sorry, but how does one expect to be competative if a user can't print a complete score with one's program. It is highly frustrating.

I think that the next release means version 2. This feature probably requires major changes to the code.

And BTW, which other "competitive" music software takes users wishes into account?

I know that it can be frustrating to wait for a particular feature. I'm personally waiting for n-tuplets for a long while now. But, as a registered user for five years, I've benefited from so many enhancements without spending one cent that I wouldn't complain.

To quote the newsgroup FAQ, "it may be a Mercedes at a Volkswagen price, but it ain't a Lamborghini (yet)."

As Yves pointed out, NWC is already much more than "competitive." I am a registered owner of several sequencing/scoring programs, none of which support clefs other than the usual treble, bass, alto and tenor, and all of which cost many times that of NWC. What's more, with NWC you can create any kind of clef you like using one of the six available user fonts slots. Yes, you'll have to insert that symbol at the beginning of every new system (perhaps requiring some judicious fiddling when printing the score), but at least it's possible.

Also to echo Yves' sentiment, I have wishes for this program also; but even if none of them should ever be fulfilled (and many of them have already) I would still unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone wishing to do serious musical work easily, and at very reasonable cost.

FOr the record, no such statement was made from us, as far as I know. As a rule, we never promise anything that isn't already in alpha/beta testing (as some long time users are well aware).

Ah, yes, percussion notation......

If you want X-head notes with a percussion (double-line) clef in NWC, here's my solution:

http://www.icogitate.com/~ergosum/misc/bangerfont.htm

But what it won't do is create notation with some "normal" notes and some X-head notes. It's all or none.
