Single/multiple stave lines

Greetings,
Would it be possible for a staff to be set up with one or two lines only? This would be useful for timpani, other instruments with few notes, mallets, cymbals, bass drum, and other percussion (eg. a triangle or some such - standard drum kit uses the normal stave but with crossed note heads)
Have these been considered for your next release?
Does Noteworthy have a reference such as 'the study of orchestration' to ensure that they cover these standard notations?
Is quite a good program and has good potential.
