How To Find the Wish List

A lot of wishes are lying dead on the floor of the forum because many new users dont know how to access the wish list.
On the Home Page there is a heading Products followed by a page link to Noteworthy Composer.
The Wish List is on the NoteWorthy Composer page.
It's important to record your wish - so the support team knows what features we users require.
Dont throw your wish down the well.

I thought for a wonderful moment that you were going to tell us how to look at the wishes so that we can add our support (or criticise).
At the moment the wishes do seem to disappear into a black hole, and unless NWC actually implement them we never see whether other people support them, or if they have been considered, or if they stood more chance of happening if modified in some way.
It really would be nice to have some feedback.

Crikey, Peter! It's not THAT hard to find! As Barry said, it's on the Noteworthy Composer page, on the index on the left.
The URL is /composer/wishlist.htm

Personally, I consider the forum for discussion, but I think it is fair for NWC to separate out the role of the Wishlist. It means that their monitoring of and input to the forum (which can be spasmodic at times, but generally hasbeen pretty good) needn't be a high priority, as the wishlist takes on that role.
Here are my hints for use of the forum and wishlist:

1) If you have an idea for an enhancement, bring it up on the forum

2) Hopefully, others will respond, generating refinements or generalisations, and _more_importantly_ interest.

3) Settle on a suggestion - your own, but hopefully incorporating what you thought was good from others' suggestions. I tend to be specific as I used to be a programmer, but I'm sure that Eric and Beth know how to interpret arm-waving!

4) Use the wish-list page to formally register your "nomination and vote".
NB: You may vote as many times as you wish :-)

As far as whether NWC listen, check out
/composer/wishtrue.htm for a list of which wishes "made it". It hasn't added Eric's most recent changes - available in the beta - user definable fonts, grace notes, etc... as the release isn't official yet.

I hope Barry's and my exhortations here will help promote more discussion and constructive "wishing"!

Regards,

Andrew

PS: A lot of discussion is happening on the usenet newsgroup. If people want to use it but can't access it, WRITE HERE, saying which news-reader program you are using, so that someone can (hopefully) help you out.

Andrew, I think we are cross purposes.
What I am saying is that the wish List is 'Write Only', so you can never see what is in it.
Of course we can tell what has been implemented, just by looking at the new versions as they come out, but sadly my wishes are never there %~(

You are quite right about the Forum being the place for discussion, and we don't need a proliferation of sites (on which point I have to confess that having a newsgroup as well seems to me to be a duplication, but please could someone explain their different purposes to an innocent).
What I would like is a somewhat more formal means of having my wishes rejected.
e.g. 'Wrong Headed', 'Unnecessary', 'Too complex', or 'RTFM', then I could sleep at night and not worry that my Princess seemed a bit late arriving!

Peter and Andrew,

Agreed, the forum is the best place to broach wishes BEFORE posting them to the wish list, in case others have found a way to do what is desired, or it is really RTFM, etc.

Peter, you have brought forth an excellent idea. I, too, would like to peruse the "wish list" to see what others are looking for in NWC... and I'd like to know NWC Support's evaluation of these ideas as well.

Perhaps we should post the desired changes to the wish list ON the wish list? :>

I am looking for the Hymns that will help me during lent.
I am currently using the United Methodist Hymnal.
I was told by Cyber Hymnal or Cyber Hymnist that 40 days and 40 nights would serve me well. However I am unable to find it .

Can you help?

Pastor Bob Leno

We do not know anything about a product called Cyber Hymnal. Maybe someone else will have some information about it. In general, your best bet would be to try a search, such as those possible from www.search.com.
