Which is the best synthesizer to use?

Good morning from gorgeous Ottawa, Canada.

This is my first visit to this forum so I'll apoligize in advance for any errors I have/will make =)

I am looking at buying a synthesizer to hook up to my PC for both composing and playing... which synth works best with NoteWorthy? I am using Windows 2000 and have seen the grief that 155a has giving some Win2k users.. I'll try out 155B when I get home or just wait anxiously for 1.7 =) Any ideas and help is greatly appreciated!!

I guess you mean a keyboard synth - yes?
As long as your keyboard is GM capable and can send midi messages via the keyboard midi out port and receive messages thru the keyboard midi in port you should have no problems.

If you intend to use the keyboard as an external sound device take a good listen to the GM sounds on the models you check out.
