Chord placement

I want to place text above the staff to indicate guitar chords but I'm having trouble getting the text to line up where I want it over the notes or chords.  Any help?

When you press "x" to enter the text, first, make sure you are before the required note. Then you can also select the placement tab.
From there you can select justification = Centre and Alignment / Placement = At next note / Bar.

If you can't see a placement tab, then you need to change a configuration setting.  Select tools/options/Editor and remove the tick from "Smart Properties Insert". The next time you press "X" to insert text you will also have the placement and visibility tabs.

This might give you some ideas guitar.htm.  It defaults to putting the chord diagram below the staff and name of the chord above, but it is user configurable.

I haven't checked Warren's user tool, but you can bet it'll work just as he said.

You might also consider a guide I wrote a while back.  Look for:

I can't give you the direct link to the file due to security settings on the Scripto.
