measures per line

I have my letters in piano teaching and am thinking about buying the full version of Noteworthy to write my own songs, after having dl the evaluation version. My first project I have set myself is to duplicate a piece of music which is working so far, only I can't seem to match the numbers of measures per line.  Is there any way to specify that you would like to start a new line or to state the number of measures to appear before wrapping to the next line?  This would be very helpful because I would like my double barline to appear at the end of a line.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

On your monitor, each staff is represented by NWC as a single long staff, so, I assume that you wish to adjust the length of lines on the PRINTED page for visual effect.

To adjust the length of a PRINTED line on a page, do this:

1)  Select (Highlight) the bar line at the point where you wish to end a printed line and begin a new printed line.

2)  Press "CTRL" and "E" at the same time.  A "Notation Properties" dialog box will appear.  Check the "Force System Break" box, and click "OK".

The bar line that you selected will now be the point at which a new line appears on the printed page.  Note that you need to do this on ONLY the top stave in order to effect the changes for all other staves also.

You may click File > Print Preview to preview your printed page.

If you look at the examples included with the program, you can get a pretty good idea of how this works.

Also, if you want to 'stretch' measures to fill a line, use 'Insert' text. only just put space bar blanks in the text box, tick the 'preserve width' box and OK. This way you can put 'stretches' in between notes and line the measures up on the printed page.
