accidental alignment

Okay, so I have this chord, see, a G flat major chord with all the accidentals on it (no key sig).  In engraved music, the flat for the D is closest to the chord (furthest to the right), the flat for the B is furthest from the chord (furthest to the left), and the flat for the G is between the two.  In NWC, the flat for the G is closest to the chord (furthest to the right), the flat for the D is furthest from the chord (furthest to the left), and the flat for the B is between the two.  Is there some way to rearrange the order of the accidentals in a NWC chord so that they mimic engraved music, or am I stuck with something that "doesn't follow the rules?"

At present you can't change the order of the displayed accidentals, unless you export a metafile and post-process it. (In principle, something similar could be accomplished by exporting a PostScript file and editing that, but it would be fiddly.)

It would be interesting to find out if there are indeed agreed-upon rules for engraving multiple accidentals on a chord.

I recall that someone raised that topic recently, so it is a "known" thing to NWC (I don't work for them). Since the program is tweaked from time to time, there's a good chance that standard-rules placement will be seen eventually. It has gone un-noticed until recently.

If you can't wait for "eventually," and if your composition is small enough to be tweakd yourself, you can either (1) move symbols graphically, by editing WMFs, or (2) place the accidentals as text items.
