Enlarge Printout 2001-08-21 04:00 am I'm brand new to this program and I'm having difficultywhen it comes to printing my music. The default size that prints out is much to small. I've searched the program for ways to enlarge the printed music but have been unableto find the answer. I would like to have no more then 4 measures on each line. I would appreciate your help... Re: Enlarge Printout Reply #1 – 2001-08-21 04:00 am The command you're looking for is File / Page Setup. Under the Options tab, you'll see Staff Size (in points). This can be set from 4 (microscopic) to 40 (about two measures per page. You'll have to fiddle with this and the next tab (Margins) to get exactly what you want, but with a little patience and some experimentation with Print Preview, you'll get it just right.Keith Quote Selected
Re: Enlarge Printout Reply #2 – 2001-08-22 04:00 am Thank you very much Keith, your instructions were right onthe money. One last guestion...... is there anyway the color of the text can be changed from the color of the staff? I'm helping senior citizens to learn to play the keyboard and I designate the pitch of each note with the proper note but it would be easier for them if the textwere in different color....Tnanx a gain...... Re: Enlarge Printout Reply #3 – 2001-08-22 04:00 am Simple - once you know how. Highlight the 'handle' of the text you entered (that little dot at the left side) and either right-click or hit ALT-ENTER to bring up the properties box. On the Visibility tab, one of the options is Item Color. You can select from Black, Red, Green or Blue. Not a decorator's palette, but it gets the job done.Keith Quote Selected
Re: Enlarge Printout Reply #4 – 2001-08-22 04:00 am Keith... I had discovered that color change box you describe....but what I would like to do is keep the staff black and just change the color of the text. I need both items to be different colors. The color itself is immaterialI'm really learning a lot from you and for that I thank you profusely.....After this question I promise I won't bother you again......tnx....Charlie D Quote Selected
Re: Enlarge Printout Reply #5 – 2001-08-22 04:00 am Charlie -Maybe I misunderstood. I thought you meant the actual words you enter as text. If you're referring to the notes themselves, the same instructions apply. As a matter of fact, you can change the color of the time sig, the performance style, pretty much whatever you like just by highlighting and bringing up the properties box (ALT-ENTER). And no bother at all. That's what the forum is all about.Good luck,Keith Quote Selected

Re: Enlarge Printout Reply #7 – 2001-08-22 04:00 am Hi Keith......You've answered all my questions and I'm up and running. I'm very impressed with this program. I've been looking for a program like this for a long time. I need to transcribe music to the EZ PLay format for the people I'm teaching. That's where the letter of the note is superimposed on the note itself. This program comes the closest to doing that. The people I'm teaching are senior citizens who don't have a lot of time to learn how to read conventional music but still want to learn to play the keyboard....... Thanks once again...
