Sustained Note Fade 2000-03-18 05:00 am 18 Mar 00I would like to fade a whole note tied to a dotted half in the next measure, from f(100) to p(10). Dynamic Variance doesn't seem to work, but it would appear that multi-point control (MPC) might. Please tell me what MPC settings and control placements to use, or suggest an alternative. Thanks, RCV Quote Selected
Re: Sustained Note Fade Reply #1 – 2000-03-18 05:00 am Are you using the 1.70 beta? If so, then place your cursor right before the whole note. Select the multi-point controller from the insert menu, or keyboard shortcut L. Under the MPC tab, set the controller to "volume," and the style to "linear sweep." At Setting: Initial: move the slide bar to 100. Click to check Setting 2 and set the time offset to 7. Then move that slide bar to 10. This will give you an even "linear sweep" which lasts for the 7 counts of your tied group and decreases in volume from 100 to 10. Quote Selected
