Triplets including rests

In searching this forum I found a thread from 1998 called "Broken Triplets." It said that Noteworthy could make triplets including rests, e.g. an eighth note, an eighth rest and another eighth note.

This doesn't work in mine. I highlight the notes, press Ctrl-T and nothing happens.  It works fine for three notes, but not with a rest.

Is the program losing features, or am I doing something wrong?

You are referring to https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=584.

NWC supports rests in triplet groups. The rest and notes must form a valid triplet grouping, but that is the only rule. So, for example, you can combine an 8th note, 8th rest, and another 8th note into a triplet.

I just tried it now and it does work. So far as I can see, I'm doing it the same way as before. My apologies for the snide comment.

Nothing snide at all, Frank.  You had a problem, you asked the question, it was polite, and you got an answer.  That's what the forum is all about.

Where in Canada?  I'm near Vancouver.

I'm in Toronto. I guess that means we won't be jamming together, which is just as well. I make periodic attempts to learn something about music and to learn an insturment, but my level of talent is exceedingly low.

I'm currently messing around with the harmonica. With only ten holes, how hard can it be? In another month or so I may be able to play "Michael Row The Boat Ashore" without hitting any wrong notes.  ;-)

This is getting far off-topic for a software support forum, so perhaps we should leave the space for questions about the program.
