In reply to David:
The clip was taken from one of my 2,396 NWC1 files that I had been updating/changing/altering to NWC2. It was a bar taken from a staff that was layered with another staff, and that staff had other notes whose stems were "stems up". The dynamic was placed in front of the stem so that it would not collide with the staff below.
In NWC 1.75, a dynamic placed "At Next Note/Bar" with all other choices at the default gave me a very good printed result in almost all cases, so I used it a lot. Here is a clip that uses that dynamic placement and is taken from a bar of the Viola staff unaltered from the 1.75 version (Mozart's Divertimento No. 15, Adagio).

The dynamic prints so far to the right that it looks like it looks like it pertains to the next note. I have not found a single expression placement choice that gives me a very good printed result in nearly all cases. If I could find one, I would partly automate the conversion to 2.0.
