Title: Exporting to Midi does not preserve note duration for non-slurred notes
Post by: alex142857 on 2019-12-24 09:58 pm
Looks like only slurred notes have the duration I expect; non-slurred notes have duration ~ 5/6 of what they should be.
This becomes evident when I open the exported file in Cakewalk. For example, a quarter note comes up in 800 ticks, whereas it should be 960 ticks.
Is it possible to correct this somehow?
Thanks, Alex

If you insert a legato performance style at the beginning of each staff, this should give you the full note lengths you desire.

The tenuto, but not the legato, notes are a bit louder (velocity +7%).
Tenuto used to be an articulation of duration, not force. Here it is both.

It would be a very useful improvement to NWC if these percentages could be configured somehow in the preference settings, in the same way that the dynamic velocity values can be configured.
