Looks like only slurred notes have the duration I expect; non-slurred notes have duration ~ 5/6 of what they should be.
This becomes evident when I open the exported file in Cakewalk. For example, a quarter note comes up in 800 ticks, whereas it should be 960 ticks.
Is it possible to correct this somehow?
If you insert a legato performance style at the beginning of each staff, this should give you the full note lengths you desire.
|Staccatissimo + Staccato PF||17%|
|Staccato + Staccato P.F.||28%|
|Staccato + Tenuto P.F.||38%|
|Staccato + Legato P.F.||38%|
|Staccatissimo + Tenuto P.F.||47%|
|Staccatissimo + Legato P.F.||47%|
|Staccatissimo + Tenuto||50%|
|Staccatissimo + Legato||50%|
|Staccato + Tenuto||65%|
|Staccato + Legato||65%|
P.F. = Performance Style
Legato is effective for grace notes too.
The tenuto, but not the legato, notes are a bit louder (velocity +7%).
Tenuto used to be an articulation of duration, not force. Here it is both.
Great, thank you guys.
It would be a very useful improvement to NWC if these percentages could be configured somehow in the preference settings, in the same way that the dynamic velocity values can be configured.
