Title: transpose
Post by: iksunglim on 2018-12-10 03:41 am
Hi,
When I transpose a song using "transpose" for Alto Sax, it distribute keys (# or b)  to each note rather than changing key signature in the beginning of a staff. Is it possible to change the key signature in the beginning of a staff instead of adding # before notes?
Thanks,
iksung

Actually, NWC changes the key signature. Did you maybe write the staff in C, and not use a "C key signature"? - then NWC will behave as described.

So, simply add a key signature for C at the beginning (which will not show up in the printed score, but you can see it in the editor as a grey natural sign on the uppermost staff line), and transposing should change this accordingly.

This still catches me from time to time, but it's a quick and easy fix.
