Title: Version 2.5.5 changes lyric fonts from earlier versions
Post by: robertnnelson on 2012-08-22 08:47 pm
I keep track of the music for our synagogue's High Holiday Choir. This means that I access my files only about once a year. When I started working with the files this year using NWC 2.5.5 I found that all the fonts had changed from Times New Roman (which Microsoft no longer supports on Vista SP2) to a default sans serif font which seems to be linked to NWC2STDA.TTF. I had to choose a new lyric font (I strongly dislike sans serif fonts for lyrics) and am currently using Baskerville Old Style (an open type font). This means that for all of the 30 or so pieces of music I have spent years entering from old multi-generation photocopies now must be re-edited to set the page properties all over again.
Any suggestions?

I think it highly unlikely that Vista SP2 has dropped support for 'Times New Roman'.

It is more likely that some fonts have been removed by some errant application.

Some advice on reinstalling fonts is here:
