Title: Bar, old style
Post by: Rob den Heijer on 2012-03-20 01:54 pm
Hello all,
I am trying to notate this piece of music. There are two things I cannot (yet) get right:
The Rossignol, PDF (http://rdenheijer.nl/nwc/rossignol-help.jpg) has barlines between the staves. Also, notes can run across a bar.
Leaving the barlines out causes NWC to space the bars out very much.
This is how far I got: Rossignol, NWC (http://rdenheijer.nl/nwc/rossignol-help.nwc)

I did not find the proper discussion about this yet - did I overlook something?
best regards, Rob

This may help. Sorry but I can't supress the opening bracket, but it should be an easy post-process. (or digital white-out)

You are a true miracle worker, Rick.
Now all I need to do is reverse-engineer your work, because I have similar issues.
Thanks a million!

Aw, shucks. I've been using grace notes as bar lines for years :)
Just don't try to audit bar lines. Strange sort of "cut time"...
