Title: Church organ low C plays high
Post by: John M Reynolds on 2007-10-01 06:07 pm
I was writing a song in a treble clef staff.  The midi instrument was set to church organ in 1.75c.  When I put in a low c note, it would play what seemed an octave too high.   The e and f notes before it played fine.  When I switched the instrument to grand piano, it played properly.  Is this a bug or a feature?

The problem is with the way your computer plays MIDI. If you are using a soundfont (https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=5067.msg31916#msg31916), the organ stop in question may not extend that low, resulting in the "mixture" pipes playing without the fundamental.
