Title: Guitar Chords
Post by: Dwight on 2007-10-01 01:34 am
Is there some way we can have the program put guitar Chords over the melody line?

I can see this as either an option we say yes or no to, and have it figure out what chords are represented by the chords in the piece.

Another option could/should be if we want to put chords We want on the page, having some way to print it.

Thank you in advance
Dwight

G'day again Dwight,
NWC doesn't analyse your music so it can't figure out the chords and put 'em in.

See: https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=6114.0

For the "lyric" method look here:

For the "enter as text" method look here:

These came up in a quick search of the forum - there are many more references.

Personally I usually use the "enter as text" method.

If you are interested in having more "correct" symbols than straight text then there are fonts available that can be assigned as "user fonts" and the characters then used as text in your chord entries.

If you want guitar fretboard symbols, you can construct them with Robert A.'s excellent "Fretqwik" also available from the Scripto.  Same page but further down.
