Title: Working with FINALE
Post by: Nate Salsbury on 2006-10-20 04:38 am
I have a friend with a MAC who uses FINALE.  He can send me MIDI files which I can open (and see music) and play (hear music).

If I send HIM a Noteworthy MIDI file, he can PLAY it but cannot open it to see music.

I have contacted the FINALE help desk but they have ignored my request for help.  Anyone here able to do that?

You're barking up the wrong tree.  If FINALE can't do anything with midi files, your friend should try NoteWorthy.

Are you certain that your friend knows how to import MIDI files in Finale?  As far as I know, NoteWorthy generated MIDI files are no different from any other MIDI files...

Your friend probalbly has Finale NotePad, not real Finale.  You should check he knows he's using Finale.
Also, your friend can't get NWC.  NWC is Windows-only.  :-(

UNfortunately (for us both) he has a Mac and therefore cannot use Noteworthy.
