Title: How to automatically beam entire measure in 3/8
Post by: Warren Porter on 2002-12-12 09:58 pm
I am transcribing a piece in 3/8 time where a typical measure would be 8th & 4 16ths, 6 16ths, or 3 8ths.  The auto beam feature separates the beats, but I would like to beam the entire measure if it doesn't have a rest.

Is there any way to do this other than beam each measure by hand?

You can enter all of the notes in 6/8 time, do AutoBeam, change the time sig to 3/8, and then Audit Bar Lines.

Or just change the time sig to 6/8 with leaving bar lines every three beats(as is notated in 3/8).
Auto Beam.
Change time sig to 3/8.
