I'm trying to enter the combination of notes shown in the example image. If I only use one of the whole notes, I can get it to work, but not if I have both. Any suggestions?

The only way to enter this combination of notes is to use layering where you layer one staff on top of another.
See example.

Thanks so much for your help! I love NWC but don't use it frequently enough to remember some of these tricks.
