Title: how do I get banks from alesis nanosynth
Post by: GLENN L;EPINE on 1999-04-07 04:00 AM
Have the new Alesis Nanosynth and I have been trying to
get NT to call up the other banks. I can access the regular
GM part of it, but short of modifying the .ini file (which I'm not all that sure would work, and would be very time consuming to type in over 1000 different patches) or assigning some of the 250 accessible patches from the panel of the synth, I can't seem to find a way to access the other 800. It won't take controller 32 as it is 0 based. The only other thing that works is to save the program as type 1 midi file and export to another program like Cakewalk and manipulate the separate channels from there. If anyone has any ideas, I would like to hear them. tks

In Staff Properties (F2) select the midi tab, click the Change button in the Playback Instruments box, then change the patch bank in the Controller 0 window. HTH... Fred
