Title: Odd flow
Post by: Flurmy on 2016-05-08 08:35 AM
I don't understand why the second time NWC jumps at measure 10 instead of 14.
This doesn't happen if the bar between measures 9 and 10 becomes single instead of double.

A double bar line cancels the meaning of the Special Ending.
IMO, it should not, but this behavior is unlikely to change.
To reassert the meaning you want, use another special ending after the double bar.
See: https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=7432.msg51601#msg51601
Edit: added reference:
Double bar lines are basically treated as special ending termination points.

IMO, it should not,
I wholly agree.
Thank you for the workaround.

Thanks for workaround also from me.

But can anyone solve the following (not really useful) puzzle: When one removes the red workaround special endings, the whole thing repeats 7 times! - is the reason something like an implicit special ending with all of 2.,3....,8. checked?

The reason is that there is no longer a special ending. At the Master Repeat Close the flow always jumps back. It stops after 8 because:
In theory, master repeats never repeat more than 8 times.

I'm always stupefied of Rick's memory... and a bit envious!  :))
