on the staffs how do we get the effect of trills?

Simple trills can be done using grace notes. This sounds good and looks not too bad on the score.

I have found that the only way to notate a good sounding trill is to use 32nd or 64th notes in a hidden staff, depending on the tempo. The muli-point controller will make a trill, but even with the value set at absolute(as opposed to linear sweep) there is still some glissando between notes and they are not attacked as they should be. Of course this effect could be good if you want a sound in your score similar to the sound of Tarzan swinging through the trees.
