Title: Stringed Instruments
Post by: the black cat on 2015-08-14 11:39 AM
Just learning a new instrument (OK its a ukulele & friends tell me they're best kept at home!) :)

They have a system of notation called TABs with 4 lines on the stave. Each stave represents a string, with the number of the fret to be held down whilst it is plucked.
Is this a format that is / or will be supported by Noteworthy?

You can (sort of) do this already if all you want is a printed sheet.

In the staff setup (can't remember the exact words, as I haven't got NWC to hand), you can specify the number of lines to show. Then you can add the fret numbers as text at the appropriate positions.

It's not the prettiest, but I have used it a lot for bass 'tab'. I tend to have a single line stave too, with the rhythm on, and place the fingering text on that stave - positioned to show on the necessary string on the 4 'string' stave.
