Title: Tune does not stop at fine
Post by: jsampson45 on 2013-12-01 09:53 AM
I have 'fine' and 'D.C. al fine' and two special endings before 'fine'. I would expect the tune to be played up to Fine but it goes on and fininshes at 'D.C. al fine'. Why is this?

Without seeing the music, it is difficult to say - but here are some things to look for.

All flow directions need to be on every staff, not just the top one.

If you want a particular special ending to be played after the DC al fine instruction then you must include a "D" (Default) for the ending you want played .

If you have checked all of the above and it still doesn't seem to work as you would expect, I would be happy to look at it if you email it to me.

This is the usual cause. Without the "D", the fine may may not be "seen" during the D.C. pass.
