Title: Bug? No Opening Bar Line for Single Staff Song
Post by: Blair Dowden on 1999-01-05 05:00 AM
When I print a single staff song in 1.55a, the bar line at
the left side of each staff line does not appear. This does not happen for multiple staff songs. It is not a margin problem - I gave it plenty of margin, and the boxed measure numbers extend to the left of the beginning of each staff line.

Is this a new bug?

The following is an excerpt from the NWC newsgroup:

This is why it was changed in NWC. We had a substantial number of requests to support the open ended single staff, as prescribed by standards. We changed NWC to comply with these requests. However, we agree that it could, and perhaps should, be optional, and will consider this.

The left hand end of the stave is managed very well if the "Staff properties - visual" is ticked as "Orchestral" I always do this for a single line of stave.
