Title: Choral SATB playback of midi file with words
Post by: Model T on 2013-03-17 09:20 PM
Do anyone know if there is a software program that will accept my choral midi file with the words and then play it back so that I can hear all parts (SATB) being sung by a quartet of computer generated voices?

You might be interested in Choralia -  www dot choralia dot net/ - who does this sort of thing for free.  And if you need Midi Files to work from, perhaps my own Site -  www dot learnchoralmusic dot co uk - would be helpful.

I have used Melody Assistant for a number of years for helping singers to learn parts. I encode in NWC and save as Midi and import into Melody Assistant. Then Export/Save as an mp3. Works reasonably well, with generally Japanese style pronunciations. You can sort some of these by changing some words to a more phonetic pronunciation. But I call it my "Japanese Choir"
