Title: 12/8 time signature in NW 2.5?
Post by: gorjoh on 2011-12-25 11:28 PM
Hi, have just upgraded to NW 2.5.

Can't see how to set up 12/8 as the time signature, and can't see a post to explain.

Help appreciated.

Hi Gordon,

Not sure what the problem is here - Setting up a time sig of 12/8 is the same as it was for version 2 (and version 1).

When nothing is highlighted, press G, click on the Time Sig tab, use the spinner to change the beats per measure to 12 (or type it in), click on the drop down box and select 8.

Time Signature Command (http://ntworthy.com/nwc2/help/MNU_ADDTIMESIGNATURE.htm)
Shortcut: G

Style: Standard Signature
Beats Per Measure: 12
Value of beat: 8

Code: (nwc) [Select ยท Download]

|TimeSig|Signature:12/8

You can either insert any time signature from the tool bar, highlight and press <Alt+Enter> to get to the properties dialogue and adjust, OR
Select |Insert|Time Signature|from the menu and adjust parameters to 12/8 OR
Press <G> and adjust parameters to 12/8...

In other words, just because something is not on the standard tool bars doesn't mean it isn't there.  NWC works at its most effective once you've learned the keyboard shortcuts and forgotten where you last left the mouse... ;)
