Title: trying to sycopate-need help
Post by: AngelVoice1966 on 2011-05-07 03:54 PM
Can somebody help me sycopate a rhythm? I'm very new but I've done some work with NWC. I've been looking through the forum for an hour for an answer.

Here's what I'm trying to do. I'm taking 2 pieces of music to make a medley and 1 has a sycopated rhythm. it's handbell music so the bass and treble clef must be separated (can't use ledger lines). It is in 3/4 time. Iin the treble clef I have a 1/2 note chord and a 1/4 note chord. I also have a 1/4 rest with a 1/2 note in a lower tone also in the treble clef.

BIG question--how do I put a 1/4 rest with a 1/2 note chord?

If it's not too much trouble can you e-mail me too? JandK928@swbell.net

Perhaps like this:
Code: (nwc) [Select · Download]
!NoteWorthyComposerClip(2.0,Single)
|Clef|Type:Treble
|Key|Signature:F#
|TimeSig|Signature:3/4
|Rest|Dur:Whole
|Bar
|RestChord|Dur:4th|Opts:Stem=Down|Dur2:Half|Pos2:0,2
|RestChord|Dur:4th|Opts:Stem=Up,HideRest|Dur2:Half|Pos2:-2
|Chord|Dur:4th|Pos:-1,1|Opts:Stem=Up
|Bar
!NoteWorthyComposerClip-End
The 'HideRest' attribute for RestChords was added in NWC 2.1
