I have entered guitar chords as lyrics, but they don't show in print preview after the first measure.
I replaced the bottom system with this after making sure the notes lined up with other parts. HTH

Sorry, I have no idea what happened but it is a pretty piece of music.
This is what I did to the bottom staff on the attachment.
Carl:
Could I ask what the chords are at concert pitch?
I'm not bad at transposition but I'm having trouble reconciling the tuned down/capo guitar chords as written with the harp/vocal.
Do you mark the pedals for harpist or leave it to them?
Barry Graham

G'day Barry,
I'm not absolutely certain as I'm not a guitarist, but the way I read it, by tuning the guitar down a tone it is now in Bb instead of C and then putting the capo on the first fret effectively puts the guitar in B instead of C. Thus an E chord shape using the capo instead of the nut for reference would sound an Eb chord, matching the key signature...
Had the guitar NOT been tuned down the tone beforehand, the capo would put it into Db instead of C and the E chord shape would then have sounded an F.
Back to the first problem - my investigation showed that the chords were fine if the "Harp" staff were invisible, no matter what combination of other staves were visible, but as soon as the "Harp" staff was visible the chords disappeared from the print preview. I do note that there is a barline missing from the chords staff at bar 3 and that by putting it in the chords reappear until bar 8 but by the time you get past bar 4 in the score the barlines are getting out of sync with an extra note in the Chords staff.
This all makes some sense until you remember that it takes the Harp staff to be visible before the problem appears - this I cannot explain.
Laurie said:
Yep that's how I read it - which made me question some of the chords against the vocal/harp.

Thanks to all for your help. The problem was the discrepancy of bar lines. I should have caught that. Frances is a fine guitarist, former opera singer, and teaches composition and creative writing at a college in Florida. She is a former Finale user. I introduced her to Noteworthy last September. I am publishing an oratorio which she has written and I will conduct it this Father's Day in Spokane at the church where Father's Day started.
I forgot to mention that the chords refer to traditional hand positions, not to the actual chord produced, which is altered by the use of a capo or scordaturo tuning.
