Title: recording to notworthy w midi keyboard
Post by: metafizx on 2010-07-19 08:46 PM
hope this isn't too lame of a question, but I am trying to record from my Yamaha YPT-310 keyboard to Noteworthy.

here is the problem, when I press the "Rec" button in Noteworthy, it does start recording the keyboard input for about 5 seconds, and then
reverts to just inputting the notes behind the staff, but the actual timing of the music is lost.

how can I keep the "Rec" functioning longer ?

if this isn't clear, let me know...thanks.

Real  time recording only lasts as long as the current piece is still playing. You would normally load up a tempo track as the first step in using live recording to build a work.

thanks, I'll check out that FAQ.

the real-time recording stops even if I am continuously pressing keys, however notes still are captured on the staff, but they don't reflect the time of the music, just the notes pressed.

the FAQ helped a lot and I am able to record now.

Thanks !
