Title: Hidden Staves.
Post by: Vreemdeling on 2010-02-25 12:00 pm
When I have made a SATB Template and I will print it, I see somethimes emptu staves.
For exemple when only the sopranos singing 20 measures and the orher not.
How can I then hide the empty staves?
KindlyRegards,
GertJan

People have been wishing for this feature for years.  The only thing close to a workaround is to selectively hide/reveal staves and print only a page or two at a time.

my 2c worth:
1. Set up each voice, ready for printing -
2. and print it to *.PDF, using something like PDF995.
3. Combine all the parts into a multipage *.PDF,
with an index as the first page, using something like PDFEdit.

This saves a lot of hassle when suddenly,
minutes before a performance,
more parts are required.

LilyPond has the facility to hide staves in this manner.
