Post by: cedar101 on 2009-10-26 08:16 PM
What can I set so that I have one instrument on the left and one on the right speaker?
Thanks

In the staff properties dialogue|MIDI tab, you can select "Stereo Pan".  64 is centre, 0 is full left, 127 is full right.  I forget what -1 does.

-1 causes no event. On some synths, this lets you use the default setting. On others, it lets you set up the parameters via other software or, for an external synth, its control panel.

If you are trying to create a song to be played on a configuration you cannot test, it is best not to use -1

OTOH, if the staff is not used for playback, I often set the channel to 10, and both Channel Volume and Stereo Pan to -1
